Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

JeJex Messenger is provided by JeJex Inc and developed by Davit Jejelava. This policy explains how JeJex Messenger accesses, uses, transmits, stores, and deletes information.

Information used by JeJex

When an account is created or used, JeJex processes the selected JeJex ID, display name, telephone number, email address, password verifier and recovery answers, device authorization information, public encryption identity, push notification token, and optional profile image. Passwords and recovery answers are not intended to be stored as readable text.

JeJex processes messages, reactions, call signals, delivery state, encrypted attachments, and the minimum routing metadata required to deliver them. Supported direct-message content and attachments are encrypted on the sender’s device before Relay transport and decrypted by the recipient’s device.

Permissions and optional device data

Service providers

Information may be processed by infrastructure necessary to operate JeJex, including JeJex account and Relay services, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push delivery, Google Drive when the user enables backup, Open-Meteo for optional weather, Infobip for transactional SMS and email delivery, and network providers carrying encrypted traffic.

JeJex does not sell personal data and does not use message content for targeted advertising.

SMS and email verification

JeJex uses a telephone number and email address to deliver verification codes requested by the user for registration, login, recovery, or account-security changes. These messages are transactional. Consent records, delivery status, and limited security metadata may be retained to prevent abuse and demonstrate compliance. See the SMS Messaging Terms.

Security

JeJex uses transport encryption, device-bound sessions, encrypted local storage for sensitive material, signed contact identities, and end-to-end encryption for supported direct-message content. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

Local chat history remains on a device until the user deletes it, clears application data, restores another state, or an enabled auto-delete rule removes it. Operational server records are retained only as long as reasonably required for security, abuse prevention, delivery, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.

Users can permanently delete an account from the Profile screen after confirming the current password. Instructions are also available at jejex.app/delete-account.

Children

JeJex is not directed to children under the minimum digital-consent age in the user’s jurisdiction.
